Terms of Sale for Court Date

Thank you for shopping with Court Date, operated by Slow Rodeo Holdings Co. These Terms of Sale ("Terms") govern your purchases through our e-commerce platform and are legally binding. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy. The Terms in effect at the time of your order apply to your purchase.

1. Order Acceptance

An order is not binding until you receive a shipping confirmation email. We reserve the right to reject or cancel any order at our discretion, including for reasons such as product unavailability, pricing errors, or suspected fraud.

2. Pricing & Availability

• All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD).
• Sales tax and shipping costs are calculated at checkout and are the responsibility of the customer.
• We make every effort to ensure accuracy, but we reserve the right to correct errors in pricing or product information.

3. Payment Methods

We currently accept:

• Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, Discover)
• PayPal (if available at checkout)

We may expand accepted methods to include:

• Venmo
• Cryptocurrencies such as USDC, ETH, WBTC, and others, with all transactions denominated in USD.

Transactions are encrypted and secure. We do not store full payment information.

4. Shipping & Delivery

• We currently ship within the United States only. International shipping may be offered in the future; check our website for updates.
• Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on weight, destination, and order value.
• Many products are made-to-order; please allow up to 14 business days for fulfillment.
• Risk of loss and title pass to you upon carrier pickup.

5. Cancellations & Final Sale Policy

• All sales are final unless the product is defective or a sizing exchange is requested within the allowed timeframe.
• If you wish to cancel an order, you must email hi@court-date.com within 48 hours of placing your order. Cancellations beyond that window are not guaranteed and are subject to review.

6. Exchanges & Defective Items

We do not offer free returns, but the first sizing exchange is free as described below:

Sizing Exchanges:

• Must be requested within 7 days of delivery.
• The first sizing exchange is free, with return shipping covered by us. Subsequent exchanges require you to cover return shipping.
• We will ship a replacement in your desired size (if in stock) at no additional shipping cost to you.
• Items must be unworn, unwashed, and have all original tags and packaging.

Defective or Damaged Items:

• If your item is defective or arrives damaged, email hi@court-date.com within 7 days of delivery.
• Include your order number, clear photos, and a description of the issue.
• If approved, we will offer one of the following at no cost:
  • A replacement item (if in stock)
  • A store credit
  • A full refund (if no resolution is available)
• Return shipping for approved defective items is covered by us.

7. Warranty

All products are covered by a 3-month limited warranty against manufacturing defects. This does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear (e.g., fading, minor blemishes, or small imperfections inherent to handmade or made-to-order products)
• Damage caused by misuse or improper care (e.g., exposure to harsh chemicals, excessive force, or washing contrary to care instructions)
• Altered or modified products

8. Limitation of Liability

Court Date and Slow Rodeo Holdings Co. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the product in question.

9. Legal Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable laws, including U.S. federal and California state consumer protection laws. We comply with California Civil Code §§ 1723–1725 related to returns and defective merchandise.

10. User Accounts & Purchases

To make purchases or participate in platform features, you may need to create a user account. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and all activities under your account.

11. Social Features

Purchases made on the platform earn points that may be used toward unlocking additional perks within our social club network, such as exclusive events or community features.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, logos, images, and trademarks on the Court Date website are the property of Slow Rodeo Holdings Co. or its licensors. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

13. Privacy

Your data is collected and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By making a purchase, you consent to our collection and use of your personal information as described therein.

14. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, excluding its conflict of law principles. Disputes may be resolved through binding arbitration at either party's request, conducted in Los Angeles County, California, under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Alternatively, you agree to resolve any disputes exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

16. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures to perform due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, labor disputes, or carrier issues.
